City of Kyoto offers consultation services for companies which maintain their headquarters, plants, research center, etc. or newly build them. Specifically the desk provides information regarding the following matters.

Eligible Party Companies in cutting-edge fields that will be the core industries of Kyoto in the 21st century
Eligible Project New construction or renovations to headquarters, factories, laboratories and development facilities (including construction or renovation of lease facilities)
Areas Covered Everywhere within Kyoto City
Benefit
  1. Subsidization equivalent to city planning tax and property tax related to property (excluding land) acquired with eligible project (5 years for small and medium-sized companies; 2 years for major companies)
    *Subsidization equivalent to additional one year will be granted for business located in Rakunan Shinto, Yokooji Chiku, Katsura Innovation Park Chiku
    *The upper limit will be set depending on the increasing number of job growth as for major companies.
  2. Amount equivalent to expenses required for surveying land for buried cultural property for eligible projects, when such a survey is undertaken (up to 50 million Yen)

Eligible Project New construction or renovations to offices

  1. Assistance equivalent to five years of city planning tax and property tax related to property acquired with eligible project (excluding land)
  2. Amount equivalent to expenses required for surveying land for buried cultural property for eligible projects, when such a survey is undertaken (up to 50 million Yen)
